After a long day of touring venues, we have decided we like both the Canterbury Place in Bountiful, and the Millenial Falls facility in Draper. At this point we are leaning more towards Millenial Falls. It has a gorgeous stain glass window in which to get married in front of, a great all-inclusive package, and a really amazing kids room that comes with two staff members to supervise for those of our guests with children, and for our flower girl, and ring bearer.
We have the three Utah County venues to look at this Friday. On Saturday we are hoping to take our Utah parents to Millenial Falls for them to review.

Location, Location, Location continued...
We went to see the North Hampton House on Friday. It was a huge disappointment. We didn't like it at all. It was too small, and for the price they were asking (not the one listed on the website) too much. So we are back at square one. NextFriday we will be going to check out some Utah County Venues, and this Saturday we will look at the some of the Salt Lake County Venues.
Our Friday schedule consists of:
The Alpine Art Center
Somewhere Inn Time
White Willow Wedding Reception Hall
Our Saturday schedule consists of:
Aspen Landing
Canterbury Place
Carmelle
Millennial Falls
We did not realize it would be this difficult to find a place, but we are hopeful about this weekend.
It has been a fun experience making wedding plans together, and realizing what really makes us work.

Month Nine: Assess Your Looks

The wedding planning book I purchased stated month nine is the time to assess one's looks and figure out a plan of action.
Before dating Jeremy I was doing pretty good on losing the weight, but since June I have become comfortable in the relationship and let everything go out the window. I gained twenty of the fifty pounds lost, and do not feel I am the kind of bride I want to be.
So this is my train of thought: If I have to answer to my readers about my weight and overall appearance maybe I will be able to do it. I have posted photos of the starting point. It is me at my worse. Hair up, no makeup, tank top to show all the rolls, and flubber. Every month on the 22nd I will post a new picture, and any update on measurements. I will put these things on the blog regardless if there is a change or not.
My course of action is this: Cycling at least four times a week, and healthy eating. Once I have started losing weight I will add toning classes to my regime in the hopes of wearing a strapless, or at the very least, sleeveless dress.

Wedding Song
We've decided our first dance will be to "Man and Wife" by Michelle Featherstone. She is one of my favorite artists. The lyrics of the song are so poignant to our relationship.

Location, Location, Location
On Friday Jeremy and I are going to go see what we hope will be the venue of our wedding. It is called the North Hampton House in American Fork, UT. It looks amazing online, and the packages seem reasonable, and include a lot of things.
Feel free to let us know what you think!

Just A Quick Overview

Jeremy and I started dating in June 2008. (His step-mother has been trying to get us together for years.) Our first date was at Red Robin with his parents. We stayed up all night talking, and I didn't get home until four. By the end of the night we pretty much knew this was it. He met my dad the next day, and we've been inseparable ever since.
We moved to Midvale in December, and got what we lovingly refer to as our furry nugget, Spike in January.
Jeremy proposed after eight months of dating on Valentines Day. He opened my door to the car (as he always does) after a wonderful dinner at the Bohemian Grill and Brewery, and after I got in he bent to one knee and asked me to marry him.
Introduction (For The Lack Of A Better Title)
Jeremy and I are getting married in November. We have family all over and I thought it would be a good idea to have a blog for them to follow all the details, and planning of the wedding, and the adventures to follow after. Hopefully I can figure this thing out.
