For the Great Grandmas

My grandmothers have been asking for updated photos of Madelynn.
Here they are!  I love you both so much, and miss you terribly.

Happy Halloween!

Last Halloween Ms. Madelynn got to have a bow as her costume.

This year Madelynn got a real costume, and was able to go to her Grandparents Hurst's (Rick and MykeAnne) home for the annual Halloween get-together.  There were scones, chili, rice crispy treats, and veggies.  She got to see her cousins, Evan and MaKayla, who were Batgirl, and Batman.  Her Uncle Brett, Aunt Ricky, Uncle Preston, Grandpa Jerry, Grandma Verna, Grandpa Mike, and Aunt Linda were also there to enjoy the festivites.

It was too cold, and rainy to take Madelynn out Trick-or-Treating, especially with the doctor wanting her on the RSV shots again this year.  So we let her play at the house in her costume before calling it a night.

The Early Intervention Halloween Carnival

Becca, our OT/PT, invited us to come to the annual EI Halloween Carnival.  We were very excited to have an opportunity to meet with other parents, and to dress Madelynn in her turtle costume.  She was a big hit!

Getting ready to go into the elementary school.

 Up close.
Kind of a full body shot.
Daddy and Madelynn decorating her Trick or Treat bag.

 She was getting tired.
 And thirsty.
Her first experience drinking from a cup, and she did a great job!!

Random Madelynn Cuteness

Madelynn is finally enjoying her baths.  Her favorite thing to do is splash and eat the wash clothe.
Fresh from the bath.
She sits all by herself now!!
Becca came over and tested her.  She measures at 10-months!
Demonstrating some Charger Pride.  We added the headband so she wouldn't completely look like a boy.
She can't keep her eyes open with the flash.
She loves her play center.  Again with the flash thing.
 Nap time on Mom!

Madelynn's First Birthday

We held Madelynn's party on October 2nd at my in-laws' home since it is much bigger than our place.  We didn't have a theme other than "1".  (We didn't want to waste a good theme on something she won't remember. :o) )

Prior to the party MaKayla got to hold her cousin.

The guests arrived, and we served large deli sandwiches, chips, and veggies.

Before it was time for presents, I put on Maddie's 1 hat on her.  It didn't last very long.

Present Time!

Next it was time for cupcakes.  We thought these would be easier to hand out, and divide than cake, and they are Madelynn size.
Jeremy fed Madelynn her first cupcake....

And she threw it up.
Here is proof the cupcakes were fine to eat, it was just too much sugar for Madelynn.

I'd like to think fun was had by all.  We enjoyed our time with friends and family.  Thank you all for coming.  Your thank you cards are in the mail!
